Paula Anderson, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified
Paula Anderson, PMHNP-BC offers on-site psychiatric services for our patients ages 16 and up on a part-time basis. Paula works with individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental illness and also collaborates with the Clinic’s other providers ensuring management of patients’ mental health is seamlessly integrated into their overall care plans.
Jennifer Bowling, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer Bowling earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Adult/Older Adult Nurse Practitioner from Grand Valley State University. Prior to this degree, Jennifer received her BSN from Ferris State University and her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Northwestern Michigan College. Before coming to Traverse Health, Jennifer spent 20 years at Munson Medical Center. She enjoyed four years as Part-Time Adjunct Faculty at Northwestern Michigan College. Now at Traverse Health, Jennifer is serving adults and older adults.
Roger Gerstle, M.D., Chief Clinical Officer
Dr. Gerstle has been a physician in Traverse City for more than twenty years, most recently serving as the medical director of Munson Hospice, Palliative Care, and Home Care. Prior to that, he had 19 years as faculty and practicing family medicine physician at Munson Family Practice Center and the Munson Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Gerstle is our team's Chief Clinical Officer, as well as a primary care physician.
Karen Lowe, Family Nurse Practitioner
Karen Lowe earned her bachelor and Master of Nursing degrees at the University of South Alabama. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Karen was Registered Nurse in an E.R. for many years. Before moving to Traverse City with her family, she cared for patients at a busy family practice outside Detroit. Karen loves caring for people of all ages. She also loves caring for entire families, offering a true “family practice” experience.
Linda Rasmussen, Adult Nurse Practitioner
Linda Rasmussen graduated with a BSN from Loyola University and an MSN from Simmons College. Her previous areas of practice include Public Health at Fairbanks Regional Public Health Center, College Health at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Rural Health Clinics in McGrath and Kotzebue, Alaska and Urgent Care in Boston, MA. Linda is an Adjunct Instructor with the Michigan State University College of Nursing and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Linda serves our adult patients.
Donna Rinker, Family Nurse Practitioner (Limited Practice)
Donna Rinker graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Broome Community College in Binghamton, NY, a Bachelor of Science Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, MI and a Master Science of Nursing from Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. Donna has worked in various family practice settings: a Community Based FQHC, Spectrum Primary Care Partners, Northwest Michigan Health Services and Private Primary Care practice. Donna is currently adjunct faculty for Grand Valley State University with their Master’s and Doctorate Nursing program and a national speaker for National Nurse Practitioner organizations such as NPACE, American College of Nurse Practitioner, American Academy of Nurse Practitioner and the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioner organization. Donna’s clinical interest is with children and women’s health care. She has expertise in working with children and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder.
Amber Ristow, Family Nurse Practitioner
Amber Ristow graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, Flint. She is an alum of NMC’s Associate of Nursing Degree program, where she was also an adjunct instructor. Amber welcomes new patients of all ages, from infants to senior citizens and everyone in between!
