Jenn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social and Criminal Justice from Central Michigan University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University, and a Master’s degree in General Administration from Central Michigan University. She also earned a Certificate in Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care – Adult & Pediatric Track through the University of Michigan. Jenn is an Executive Board member for the Michigan chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. In addition, she previously served via gubernatorial appointment as the mental/behavioral health treatment representative to Michigan’s Criminal Justice Policy Commission. Jenn has worked in a variety of human services, criminal justice and clinical roles as well as in post-secondary and graduate adjunct faculty positions within the Greater Grand Traverse area.
Jenn’s specialty treatment areas are mood disorders and adjustment issues, grief and loss, trauma, anger management, relationship issues, personality disorders, and LGBTQ identities. She has specialized training in addiction treatment, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Trauma Recovery and Empowerment (TREM/M-TREM) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Jenn is also a Substance Use Professional (SAP) for the Department of Transportation (DOT). She works with ages 12 and older.
