Courtney is a licensed professional counselor, earning her master’s degree in counseling from Western Michigan University in 2008. She is a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor (CAADC) with specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Recovery and Empowerment (TREM/M-TREM).
Courtney is on the advisory board for the Grand Traverse chapter of Families Against Narcotics (FAN). Courtney has worked in outpatient and residential treatment settings for people with mild, moderate and severe mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders.
Courtney’s counseling focus is on mood disorders, trauma, relationship and communication problems, borderline personality disorder, addiction, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and basic everyday life stressors.
