Vicki Comnick, LMSW​

Behavioral Health Consultant

Vicki earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Psychology from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and a Master’s degree of Social Work from George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.

As Traverse Health Clinic’s Behavior Health Consultant, Vicki is part of the Primary Care Team and provides behavioral health services to primary care patients to improve their quality of life.

 


Toni Hernalsteen, LMSW, SAP

Clinical Social Worker

Toni earned her Master of Social Work and Masters Certificate in Gerontology from Eastern Michigan University. From the University of Michigan, she earned a Certificate in Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care – Adult and Pediatric Track.

She has specialized training in Trauma Recovery and Empowerment (TREM/M-TREM) and is a Substance Use Professional (SAP) for the Department of Transportation. She is also working towards her Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification.

Her areas of specialty include mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, spirituality, chronic illness/pain, aging, end of life, self-esteem, relationship issues, and addiction. She works with individuals and couples and welcomes clients ages 16 and older.

Toni was born and raised in Traverse City. Keeping her family tradition alive, she volunteers as an Event Director with the National Cherry Festival. She is also the flute section leader of Encore Winds and plays in the New Hope Community Orchestra.

During the summer months, Toni enjoys hiking and spending family time at the beach. Winter finds her and her family on the ski slopes, making snowmen, and drinking hot chocolate. She is a proud mom of two great kids, and a “dog mom” to two pups.


Roberta ("Bobbi") LaMont, LPC, NCC

Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor

Jill Rountree, LMSW, 200RYT, SAP, CAADC

Clinical Social Worker

Jill earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Philosophy from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University.  She has also earned a Certificate in Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care – Adult & Pediatric Track through the University of Michigan, and is a Registered Yoga Instructor. 

Jill’s specialty treatment areas are mood disorders and adjustment issues, trauma, anger management, personality disorders, and LGBTQ identities.  She has specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  Jill is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has completed the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) certification for the Department of Transportation (DOT).  She works with ages 12 and older. 


Bill Sterzik, LPC, CAADC

Bill earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University and is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). Bill has specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and Trauma Recovery and Empowerment (TREM/M-TREM).

Bill’s counseling focus is on mood disorders and adjustment issues, anger, trauma, communication problems, personality disorders, addiction, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, everyday life stressors, and feeling stuck.

A Traverse City native, Bill is happily married and a proud father of one. He enjoys being on the water and anything that includes his family.

 


Jennifer Strange, LMSW, CAADC, SAP

Behavioral Health Manager

Jenn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social and Criminal Justice from Central Michigan University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University, and a Master’s degree in General Administration from Central Michigan University.  She also earned a Certificate in Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care – Adult & Pediatric Track through the University of Michigan.  Jenn is an Executive Board member for the Michigan chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. In addition, she  formerly served via gubernatorial appointment as the mental/behavioral health treatment representative to Michigan’s Criminal Justice Policy Commission.  Jenn has worked in a variety of human services, criminal justice and clinical roles as well as in post-secondary and graduate adjunct faculty positions within the Greater Grand Traverse area.

Jenn’s specialty treatment areas are mood disorders and adjustment issues, grief and loss, trauma, anger management, relationship issues, personality disorders, and LGBTQ identities.  She has specialized training in addiction treatment, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Trauma Recovery and Empowerment (TREM/M-TREM) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  Jenn is also a Substance Use Professional (SAP) for the Department of Transportation (DOT).  She works with ages 12 and older.
