Flu season is here. Did you know it takes 2 to 3 weeks for your body to build up its immunity after you get your flu shot? Don't wait until the last minute! Get vaccinated today so you're protected BEFORE there is widespread flu activity in our community. The flu shots we offer at Traverse Health Clinic come in pre-filled, single-dose syringes that do NOT contain Thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative.

For our private pay/uninsured patients, we offer a same-day discount on your flu shot. If you pay in full on the day you get your influenza vaccine, you get 50% off the regular $50 charge. That's just $25 for your health and peace-of-mind this flu season.

The influenza vaccine is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older. You cannot get the flu from the influenza vaccine.  When you get your flu shot, you help protect others, including babies who are too young to get the vaccine, and people who are more likely to get complications from the flu virus, like pregnant women, older adults, and people with chronic health conditions like asthma and diabetes.
