“Save A Smile” – Traverse Health Clinic’s 2nd Annual Toothbrush Donation Drive, September 2010

Fact:  Hundreds of people have come to the Traverse Health Clinic with dental needs this year – many of these with urgent needs and all lack the financial ability to pay for the needed services.


In fact, needs have doubled in just one year and the clinic cannot keep pace.  There is a tremendous urgent need in our communities to provide those less fortunate with access to dental care. 


Question:  How can you help?


Answer:    Fill a need, “SAVE A SMILE”

 

Throughout the entire month of September, bring donations of adult toothbrushes, toothpaste or floss to the following locations:


  • Traverse Health Clinic – 3147 Logan Valley Road
  • WLJN Radio – 1101 Cass St.
  • Any Tom’s Food Markets in Benzie, Grand Traverse and Leelanau County
  • Northwestern Bank locations in Grand Traverse or Leelanau County

The clinic will also gladly accept financial donations to help immediately provide someone in need with dental service.


Join with many others in our community to make an impact.  Make a donation and register to win:

Traverse Health Clinic would like to thank all of those in the community who provided oral health care supplies to its SAVE A SMILE donation drive in September.  The community donated a total of 4,734 items including toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss which will benefit the uninsured patients of the Clinic.  This was the 2nd year of the drive and more than doubled the amount of donations.   Special prize drawing winners received certificates to Tom’s Food Markets and Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa.


Traverse Health Clinic would like to give a huge thank you to Tom’s Food Markets, Northwestern Bank, Everywhere UGO, WTCM, Ron Jolly, TV 9&10, TV 7&4, WLJN, Traverse City Record Eagle, Allen Hoeft DDS, Fox Grand Traverse, Crystal Mountain, United Way RSVP volunteers, Northwest MI Works volunteers and all who donated for making it a success.
