The Vision Program
Since October 2007, over 2,600 patients have received eye exams donated by community optometrists and ophthalmologists, and over 2,300 have received corrective eyewear through Traverse Health Clinic’s vision program.
- Depending on eligibility, patients receive an annual or biennial comprehensive eye exam.
- Patients needing eyeglasses may choose from a limited frame collection at a reduced cost. Contact lenses are not part of the program.
- If a patient has a medical ophthalmologic problem, the patient will be referred to an ophthalmologist for follow up. Arrangements are handled by Traverse Health Clinic staff.
