Lynn Swan, M.D. is Medical Director at Traverse Health Clinic.
Dr. Swan graduated from The University of Michigan Medical School and Family Medicine Residency program. She served as faculty at the U of M Family Medicine Department and is currently an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University. She has served as medical director and staff physician for 8 years at the Medicine Lodge for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. She continues her role as teacher for the community with medical students and family practice residents. Her special interests include world mission work and volunteer activities. Dr. Swan is not accepting new patients at this time.
April Kurkowski, D.O.
Dr. Kurkowski received her degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She comes to the Clinic with an extensive background in primary care, most recently as a family medicine physician at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Rural Health Clinic. Dr. Kurkowski is accepting new patients.
Linda Rasmussen , Adult Nurse Practitioner
Linda Rasmussen, RN, MSN, ANP graduated with a BSN from Loyola University and an MSN from Simmons College. Her previous areas of practice include Public Health at Fairbanks Regional Public Health Center, College Health at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Rural Health Clinics in McGrath and Kotzebue, Alaska and Urgent Care in Boston, MA. Linda is an Adjunct Instructor with the Michigan State University College of Nursing and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Linda serves our adult patients and is accepting new patients.
Donna Rinker, Family Nurse Practitioner
Donna Rinker, RN, MSN, FNP-BC graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Broome Community College in Binghamton, NY, a Bachelor of Science Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, MI and a Master’s Science of Nursing from Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. Donna has worked in various family practice settings: a Community Based FQHC, Spectrum Primary Care Partners, Northwest Michigan Health Services and Private Primary Care practice. Donna is currently adjunct faculty for Grand Valley State University with their Master’s and Doctorate Nursing program and a national speaker for National Nurse Practitioner organizations such as NPACE, American College of Nurse Practitioner, American Academy of Nurse Practitioner and the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioner organization. Donna’s clinical interest is with children and women’s health care and is accepting new patients.
Patricia Bauer, Family Nurse Practitioner
Patricia Bauer received her BSN from Mercy College of Detroit and her Masters in Nursing from Wayne State University with a major in the Health Care of Women. Patty received certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a post graduate certificate in Family Practice from Michigan State University. Patty has been a part of the Traverse Health Clinic staff for over 5 years, currently providing well women exams, a diabetic clinic and serving urgent care patient needs. Prior to coming to the Clinic she spent 12 years as Perinatal Outreach Coordinator at Munson Medical Center and 13 years as a women’s health care nurse practitioner for Planned Parenthood and a local health department.
Dr. Anne M. Cavanagh
Dr. Cavanagh is board certified in both internal medicine and palliative care. Prior to coming to Traverse Health Clinic, Dr. Cavanagh was Director of Quality of Life Program at West Michigan Cancer Center in Kalamazoo and Medical Director of Palliative Care at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Dr. Cavanagh has also served as Medical Director at Thunder Bay Community Health Center in Alpena, in addition to teaching internal medicine residents. A graduate of University of Michigan and Wayne State University, Dr. Cavanagh is now accepting new patients at Traverse Health Clinic.
Abbigale Wilson, M.D.
Dr. Abbigale Wilson graduated from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed her medical training with the Munson Family Practice Residency. Dr. Wilson enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine and is particularly fond of preventative, nutritional and international medicine.
MaryLee Pakieser, Family Nurse Practitioner
MaryLee Pakieser, MSN, RN, NP, graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner. She holds extensive clinical and managerial experience in the healthcare industry as well as the 2012 award for AANP Outstanding NP for Michigan. MaryLee has served as a nurse practitioner at the VA Clinic in Traverse City, as Clinic Director for a Community Health Center and Nurse Practitioner in both private practice and a health department. An active volunteer, board member and member of several professional organizations, MaryLee spends her clinical time serving Traverse Health Clinic patients at our second location inside Northern Lakes Community Mental Health.
