September and October 2009
As part of our Community Connections, we have partnered with the State Theatre, downtown Traverse City, to hold Dental Days. Parents and children are invited to a Saturday matinee for $.25 as usual, and are treated to an Oral Health presentation before the movie. Following the movie, tooth care kits are given out to all attendees. These include a toothbrush, paste, and floss.
Parents are made aware of dental services available for their families. We look forward to working with the State Theatre in October during National Dental Hygiene Month to increase the awareness of healthy dental habits in our community. With the help of the Traverse City Rotary Club’s Good Works Fund, Tooth Care Kits will be given to those who attend the matinees.
