Traverse City, Mich – Toy Harbor in downtown Traverse City recognizes how necessary it is to have the Traverse Health Clinic providing free health services for adults in need in our region.

This coming weekend, November 19th and 20th, Toy Harbor invites the community to join them as they Give Thanks and Spread the Health.

If you shop Toy Harbor this weekend, your gift purchases will have double the impact this holiday, as 15% of all purchases will benefit the uninsured being served by the Traverse Health Clinic. Weekend store hours are Saturday 10 am to 5:30 pm and Sunday noon – 4:00.

Clinic Makes Goal for Matching Challenge Gift

The folks at Traverse Health Clinic would like to thank the community for helping them make their goal in a recent campaign to Spread the Health. The Art and Mary Schmuckal Family Foundation and Daniel and Debra Edson generously offered a $25,000 matching challenge if the community could raise $25,000 by the end of August. The Clinic was thrilled to receive such overwhelming support from community members, businesses and fellow non-profits in their campaign. Special thanks to Glen’s Market 8th Street who held a 3 week donation drive, Greenlight Marketing for social media guidance, Lamar Outdoor for their digital outdoor billboard campaign, Team Elmers who offered to give us up to $5,000 for each Facebook “Like” on both clinic and Team Elmer’s Facebook pages, The Ticker for promoting the campaign, TV 9&10 news for their story, WTCM radio, WCCW radion, Z93, Real Rock 105.1 fm & 95.5 fm, Classic Rock the Bear 98.1 fm & 107.1 fm for all the air time dedicated to spreading the challenge. The Clinic also thanks everybody who helped share the challenge with friends and colleagues and thanks patients for sharing on Facebook how important our health services have been to them. It was wonderful to have such an outpouring of support for our community mission. To the special lady who followed the campaign then walked in wanting to make an impactful gift, thank you for writing a check for $5,000. Thank you all for your impact and for helping Spread the Health to our uninsured neighbors!

3rd Annual ‘Save a Smile’ Toothbrush Donation Drive Underway

With record numbers of new patients requesting help with dental care, the community is asked to join with the Clinic and help provide those in need with toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss. Donations may be dropped off at: Traverse Health Clinic, Tom’s Food Markets, Northwestern Bank lobbies, Munson Medical Center’s Lobby, Cafeteria or Cafe.

Items donated will be distributed throughout the year to 2,500 Clinic patients. Thank you for your help!

12th Annual NMAHU Charity Golf Outing
